VC2C Underwater Acoustic Transducer

Description

The Lubell Labs VC2C is an underwater acoustic transducer covering the frequency range of 50 Hz to 1500 Hz at a maximum sound pressure level of 174dB/uPa/m @ 115 Hz. The VC2C must be accurately pressurized while topside, in order to balance the internal pressure with the external pressure for the intended fixed operating depth. We recommend connecting the VC2C to the 4 ohm and common terminals of the InterM A-120 amplifier (North America sales only), which must be purchased separately. (International users may also use a TOA BG-2120 and connect VC2C to the 4 ohm tap.) Since the VC2C has a maximum current rating of 2.5A, we recommend installing an inline fuse holder with 2.5A fast-blow fuse in series with the white signal lead to help protect the VC2C against burn-out. Sales of the VC2C is limited to marine scientists and laboratories, ocean engineers, and the military.
